Award-winning luxury drinks retailer and whisky cask specialist Hackstons is marking Father’s Day with a curated collection of rare spirits, personalised gifting experiences and whisky cask ownership opportunities, offering customers the chance to give a gift with a story behind it.
The retailer, which was recently named Newcomer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards, has unveiled a Father’s Day centred on meaningful gifting, from exceptional bottles ready to be enjoyed today to whisky casks quietly maturing for future generations.
As part of the celebrations, Hackstons will offer an exclusive in-store bottle engraving service at its Knightsbridge flagship on 13th and 20th June. Customers purchasing selected bottles will be able to add a personalised message, transforming a premium spirit into a unique keepsake for fathers, grandfathers and whisky enthusiasts alike.
The initiative comes as consumers increasingly seek thoughtful, experience-led gifts that create lasting memories rather than simply adding to a collection.
At the heart of Hackstons’ Father’s Day campaign is the belief that the best gifts are defined not by what they are, but by the stories attached to them, whether it is a bottle opened to mark a milestone, a dram shared between generations, or a whisky cask that continues to evolve over time.
For whisky lovers, cask ownership offers something particularly distinctive. More than simply owning whisky, it provides a tangible connection to the spirit’s journey, with owners able to select distillery, cask type and maturation style while following the development of their whisky over the years.
For some, it is the ideal gift for the father who already has an enviable whisky collection. For others, it represents a future family legacy that can one day be bottled, shared and passed down with a story attached to every dram.
Interest in cask ownership continues to grow, with Hackstons recently taking a group of clients to Scotland to visit their casks and experience first-hand the maturation process and craftsmanship behind whisky production.
Alongside its cask offering, Hackstons has curated a series of Father’s Day gifting edits designed to help customers find the perfect present.
Hackstons has selected a number of standout bottles for Father’s Day, each chosen for its character, craftsmanship and provenance.
The selection includes Dalmore Cigar Malt (£260), a rich Highland single malt created specifically to pair with cigars. Matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, Cabernet Sauvignon barriques and Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks, it offers orange zest, dried fig, cinnamon and polished oak on the nose, followed by caramel, dark chocolate, black pepper and sweet tobacco leaf on the palate.
Also featured is Loch Lomond 25 Year Old (£345), a whisky that showcases the distillery’s technical mastery. Crafted using three distinct spirits from Loch Lomond’s Straight Neck stills before maturation in first-fill, refill and re-charred American oak casks, it delivers toasted oak, coconut, crisp pear and warming spice, with caramel, apricot, lime brightness and a gentle wisp of oak smoke.
For rum lovers, Doorly’s 14 Year Old (£75) offers a pure, additive-free expression from Barbados’ Foursquare Distillery. A blend of pot and column still spirits aged in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels and ex-Madeira wine casks, it brings notes of molasses, toasted coconut, dried fruit, caramel, banana bread, orange peel and warming spice.
Wine enthusiasts can discover Château de Beaucastel 2021 (£99), a benchmark Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate wine made using all 13 permitted grape varieties. Elegant and fresh, it reveals ripe black cherry, plum, violet, cracked pepper and subtle truffle, with velvety dark fruit, crushed stone and hints of dark chocolate on the palate.
Completing the selection is Hermitage 50 Year Old Grande Champagne Cognac (£495), a deeply thoughtful Father’s Day gift that speaks to time, experience and appreciation. Drawn exclusively from Grande Champagne, it opens with warm fruit cake, plums and deep rancio, followed by crab apple freshness, orange syrup and a long, complex finish.
Hackstons Retail Manager Whitney Jacobson said: “Father’s Day is about more than finding another thing to unwrap. The best gifts have stories attached to them, whether that is a bottle opened together, a rare spirit chosen for its character, or a cask that will continue to mature for years to come.
“Our Father’s Day selection has been designed to offer something memorable, personal and lasting. Some stories are ready to be opened, while others deserve to age beautifully.”
The Father’s Day collection is available now online and at Hackstons’ Knightsbridge flagship store.
